I was fortunate to wear the turban between 1996 and 2001 as part of my studies at the Al-Azhar Institute, the turban is the official uniform for Al-Azhar Students in some governorates in Upper Egypt. I enjoyed wearing the turban, and it significantly impacted my personality at the time. The turban, in its various shapes and colors, is an important symbol in people’s cultures and a symbol that distinguishes religious men from one another. The turban is regarded as a shroud that the Muslim wears on his head wherever he goes, indicating complete submission in the event of death.
